We’re proud to share that M3Nephron is grounded in the latest membrane science, including findings from a 2020 study published in the Journal of Membrane Science. The research presents a new high-flux mixed matrix membrane designed for blood plasma detoxification — a critical step in extracorporeal treatments like dialysis.
Importantly, the membrane achieves high toxin removal while minimizing albumin loss, a long-standing challenge in hemofiltration and related therapies. This balance is made possible through novel incorporation of porous activated carbon within the polymer matrix, enhancing selective toxin capture.
This work supports M3Nephron’s mission to deliver more efficient, biocompatible, and cost-effective detoxification solutions for patients requiring renal or extracorporeal care.
